The vision of the FarmAid store is to facilitate the transformation of rural villages around the world by creating access to goods, services and technologies that will impact and accelerate the growth of these rural economies and increase their standard of living.

FarmAid is a store that sells tools and machines to local farmers. The farmers can either buy these tools or rent them for a period of time. We also sell seeds and have in-store experts who can provide farming or agriculture related solutions for customers.

Our first FarmAid store opened its doors on the first of May 2009 in a little town called Ruthvadi. Ruthvadi is a tribal village about 40 miles from the town of Madhupur and about 270 miles from the city of Kolkata. Ruthvadi is a town that time had left behind a long time ago. Here the tribals live without electricity, running water and many other basic amenities we cannot dream to live without.
However, life here is still beautiful, tranquil and refreshing in ways that money can never buy. And here is where our FarmAid store is being setup, to give the Santals access to some much needed supplies, without disturbing their lives and their beautiful village.

•  The Store is completely solar powered and we offer solar charging stations to charge cell phones, flashlights and other accessories
•  The store turns into a clinic once a month when we have a medical specialist come and prescribe medicines.
•  We have included a pharmacy section to the store
•  We act as a trading center for buying and selling grains and other farm related products
•  The store has a whole new section for groceries and household goods
