The Model Village
The growth and development of the village depends on the existence and success
of four main components which form the framework and support structure for the
village. They are:
Education is the most important part of the solution. The kids in the tribal villages of India work to support their families and have never been to a school. Their parents' generation did not have the opportunity to go to school and the fear is that if something is not done soon, the kids might not get an education either.
There are many areas in the tribal villages that do not have access to a healthcare facility. Some of these villages do not have a single hospital in a 50 mile radius. This is a grave issue that needs to be addressed with urgency. We are looking for healthcare agencies to partner with that have the needed expertise and personnel.
We are starting from the bottom up. This gives us the unique opportunity to
start it right. We believe that using renewable sources of energy to power our
villages will help preserve our planet and also start a green energy revolution
in the cities and towns that border the villages.
These are projects that are designed to facilitate community development and societal harmony. The development projects will focus on providing solutions that are specific to a particular region. The social projects will focus on inculcating a sense of civic duty and
other activities that will help in
strengthening the community.
